<Olivia>

She agrees with the idea because we need more money for social services and privatized facilities are more flexible.

<Lily>

She agrees with the idea because we have had some discussions in the past that did not reach consensus due to costs. Privatization can also reduce the burden on the government.

<Peter>

He disagree with the idea. There is a risk that it will not operate well unless it is state-owned. Facilities such as schools have the advantage that tuition fees are cheaper for state-owned enterprises.

<Ella>

She disagree with this idea. She worries about the unemployment of government workers due to privatization.

<Lucy>

She also disagrees with this idea because she worries about the deterioration of the quality of business. It is also feared that a person in a high position may move to another position in the company on his own.

Questions between members

1. Why do you think privatization will reduce the quality of your business? (Olivia)

→ Since Apollo's population is small, it has few businesses and is active. Privatizing a business will reduce its quality as it will have no competitors. (Lucy)

→ How about creating a position to monitor so that the quality of the business does not deteriorate? (Lily)

2. What company do you want to privatize?(Olivia)

→ I want to privatize a garbage collection company. (Peter)

→ What are the benefits? (Lucy)

→ The government can reduce the costs associated with garbage collection. (Peter)

3. Which company do you need to privatize?

→ It's railroad company. (John)

Questions from the audience

1. How do you privatize all the facilities? Take the post office as an example. Who will deliver the mail? The company will hire people. Privatization costs a huge amount of money, but Apollo may not have such money. (Robert)

→ Government officials teach businessmen the content and techniques of their work.(Peter)

→ First, the company will be transferred to a joint-stock company, and then run the company with the money from the shareholders. (Olivia)

→Create a system that charges an additional fee from the sender when specifying the date and time, specifying express delivery, or carrying mechanical items. (Lily)

2. (Lucy)

→ If the company is privatized, it will be easier for users to express their opinions and therefore easier to use. (Olivia)

3. What if those companies' performances get worse?(Vinne)

→ (Olivia)

→ We will hold a shareholder meeting. The government should intervene and assist at first, and gradually reduce the assistance. (Peter)

4. Privatization will reduce the number of people working in the government. How about increasing the number of part-time jobs? (Ghosn)

→ Since the government is dispatched to each facility like a domitory as a supervisor, work will not be lost. (Lily)

Result

They can reach the consensus.

My Opinion

 I couldn't understand what this debate was saying. I had to have knowledge of the agenda of privatization.
